Advocacy Matters Glasgow

How your donation will help

Advocacy Matters will use your donation to help provide advocacy support to our service users.

£5 would enable an Advocacy Worker to travel to represent a vulnerable parent at their child's Children's Panel hearing and so enable their views, worries and concerns for their child to be fully expressed.

£13 will buy a basic mobile phone to enable a Volunteer Advocate to work alone safely  in the community, to make calls on behalf of their Advocacy Partner and to be able to access immediate advice from more experienced advocacy workers if required.

About 10% of children have a mental health problem at any one time.  (Office for National Statistics, Mental Health in Children and Young People in Great Britain Report, 2005)
